Since the 16th century (when it was a private home), the hotel has received the greatest of the great. Legend has it that Louis XIV preferred to stay here instead of at the hospices. He was afraid of catching something! Much closer to the present day, in 1966 an antique collector richly furnished the hotel for guests who appreciated fine things. The Bernard family took over the destiny of the establishment in 1986. Nerino Bernard (and now his son jean-Claude as well) wanted to preserve the hotel’s exceptional heritage, but they were also anxious to make their guests comfortable. So they have transformed, enlarged and adapted this place so full of history. Take the glass elevator or the little staircase in the tower to discover an exceptional panoramic view of this rich and colorful city. In 2003, five suites, a library and a playroom will be added to the Le Cep hotel complex.
