Hotel Vernet – Paris, France
Location
The Hotel Vernet is ideally located in the golden triangle of the Paris Right Bank with Avenue Montaigne, Avenue George V and the Avenue des Champs-Elysees all just a short walk away. The Arc de Triomphe is also close by.
Hotel & Rooms
The philosophy of the hotel can be summed up as refinement, discreet luxury, supreme comfort and a warm welcome. You are afforded a truly personal welcome at this early 20th century hotel designed by the architect5 Selonier as a true example of Parisian chic, with parquet floors, armchairs upholstered in red velvet, a piano and a magnificent leaded-glass cupola by Champigneulle: a delightful setting where it is a pleasure to relax. Two restaurants, a small lounge, valet parking, and a Clefs d’Or concierge are all there to welcome you and attend to your every need. The hotel has 42 rooms and 9 suites, 2 of which boast a terrace. All the first floor rooms have original parquet floors. They are spacious, tastefully decorated, with subdued lighting and combine stylish furniture with contemporary touches. Each room or suite is unique, as if you were in a private residence or a family house. All rooms (with the exception of the classic rooms) have a large dressing room as well as a comfortable sofa where you can relax after a busy day’s shopping or sightseeing. The bathrooms are all equipped with a Jacuzzi. The attention to detail here makes all the difference: bathrobes, slippers, and welcome products (welcome products by Hermes in the suites). Not to mention Wi-fi, mini bar and safe.
Restaurant & Lounge bar
Chef Eric Briffard has been at the helm since 2000 and is not a man to give in to fleeting trends. Rather his aim is to shake up traditional cuisine and to revisit it with absolute technical mastery…his gelee of sea-urchin in it shell, spider crab in an iodine ecume, his black pig from the Aldudes are for ever engraved on the memory of those who have had the good fortune to savour them. Beneath a magnificent leaded glass dome with ironwork by Gustave Eiffel there is a light drenched restaurant for you to enjoy. The Lounge Bar, which is in the basement of the hotel, is a marriage of precious wood paneling the colour of Macassar ebony, Oreintal carpets on dark wood floors and glass drop chandeliers. On the menu: cocktails, champagne and also iced Andalusian gazpacho, Indian curry (lamb, vegetable), pan-fried prawns, chicken breast in turmeric or club sandwich with lobster. A veritable invitation to travel, enhanced by the music in the lounge, mixed by Beatrice Ardisson. Le Jaipur is open from midday to one in the morning, seven days a week.
Seminars & Receptions
The hotel has a small lounge, with wood paneling and parquet flooring, which can be used for seminars and other business meetings. It caters for 15 persons and is fully equipped (screen, overhead projector or, flip chart). It is located in the basement opening onto the lobby: it has good high ceilings, a harp and piano, and armchairs and chaises longues upholstered in red velvet. The small lounge allows you to receive about fifteen guests seated around a table or about thirty for a cocktail reception. The restaurant caters for 50 guests and can be partly or wholly reserved for exclusive use (2 to 16 guests). Whatever arrangement you choose, a menu will be designed and prepared for the occasion by our starred chef Eric Briffard.
