Awana Porto Malai Langkawi is noted for its Mediterranean architecture and as a terminal for ocean-going cruise ships which regularly call here on their way to and from Singapore and southern Thailand. Several sailing and boating charters operate from the marina and sunset cruises around nearby islands are particularly popular.
The marina currently has 14 berths supplied with electricity, water and fuel but there are plans to extend this to 93 berths. Fixed moorings are also available.
